Mob Research collaborate with The Young Gods on new release Mob Research - the band formed by the late Paul Raven of Killing Joke/Ministry, Mission guitarist Mark Gemini Thwaite and Warrior Soul/Trouble vocalist Kory Clarke - are releasing their first new material in three years since the 'Holy City Zoo' album was released to critical acclaim in 2009.

'MOTORMOUTH’ EP is released on limited edition gatefold digipak CD on Echozone on 18th May. The new CD features several new songs by Clarke/Thwaite including 'Motormouth', 'Another Dead Day in Paradise' and an exclusive new version of 'In The Atmosphere' featuring Franz Treichler of Swiss industrial pioneer THE YOUNG GODS on vocals.

Fifteen years after the release of "Flowing With The Flue" BORN FOR BLISS' debut album will be published as a re-mastered new version including bonus tracks on ECHOZONE. Besides the revision of the master tracks and the four bonus tracks, the back then faultily used album title has been replaced by the originally envisaged and now corrected "Flowing With The Flu". Even after fifteen years, the epic wave rock songs have not lost steam nor intensity, i. a. the club hit "Arabia".

After "Kiss Of Doom" (2010) and "Symphony Of Twilight" (2011) the third ELANDOR album "Dark Asylum" will be released on Echozone in early May. On their third record the band present themselves clearly matured celebrating powerful, expressive and emotionally profound dark / gothic rock. Consisting of three permanent members by now, the band show their talent to combine heavy guitar riffs with playful keyboard sounds, driving drum beats, catchy refrains and singer Markus' expressively dark and at the same time enormously flexible voice to form a thrilling oeuvre.

On May 4th, "Dark Asylum" will be available for digital download worldwide and as an album CD. The first two albums will also come out within the next few weeks in a digitally re-mastered form.

On the 4th of May LES FLEURS DU MAL return with ”The Knife In My Back”, the first single from their upcoming album. This digital maxi-single follows on last year’s debut EP release ”I”, critically praised and voted one of the 100 best releases in 2011.

The first two tracks of the single are a taste of the band's first full length album which is yet to come. The release also includes a bonus track for the fans, a bootleg live recording of a previously unreleased song handed over to the band by a devoted fan. The single is released on the Malicious Release label and digitally distributed worldwide by ECHOZONE.

After their successful European tour as support for ex NIGHTWISH singer TARJA, HANNIBAL are going to release their second album on April, 20th. The already published video clip of the album song "Rise" got already 5000 clicks after three weeks and was presented on TV in Greece in cooperation with the METAL HAMMER magazine. The new album "CYBERIA" will contain an elaborate 24-page booklet. Additional tour dates for this year as well as the release of several live video clips being shot during a sold out concert in Eindhoven / Netherlands, are in preparation. Furthermore, singer / composer Alex Balakakis will feature on the brand-new MOB RESEARCH EP with an exclusive remix.

After the release of their debut album "Strange Encounter" in autumn 2011 on which the veteran duo Dirk Lakomy (Umbra Et Imago, In My Rosary) and Tobias Birkenbeil (DNS, Cytron) already demonstrated their impressive ability to create classic and ageless electronic wave pop, the new "Crash EP" will be released soon including five brand-new songs, i. a. a cover version of the classic "Warm Leatherette". The EP will be available for digital download worldwide as of April, 27th.

The much-anticipated first ECHOZONE Festival DVD presenting the bands AKANOID, EIGENSINN and WHITE PULP is now available. The DVD was shot in 2010 at Club 21 in Soest / Germany and contains six songs of each band, three band slideshows and a performance of the local singer Daggy who did her first live gig as the opening act. The musical array ranges between the industrial rock of WHITE PULP, the infectious German-speaking alternative rock of EIGENSINN and the electro rock sounds of the local heroes AKANOID. As of now, the DVD is available at our Ebay Shop and online stores.

After the release of last year's limited live double DVD "Searching For Light & Chaos", the two live albums from 2008 and 2010 are now also available for digital download ("Searching For Light" & "Tunes From The Underground"). The albums "Into The Arms Of Chaos", "The Eternal Arcane" as well as the remix album "Borrowed Nightmares & Forgotten Dreams", all released on ECHOZONE, are still available at our ECHOZONE / BOB-MEDIA Ebay Shop, even as a 3CD bundle.

Furthermore, the band is going to play a number of concerts this year on the occasion of the release of their new album "The Rites Of Passage" on the Solar Lodge label.

After their debut album “Paper God” (2010) PARANOID ANDROID are now going to release the sequel "No Way Out“ on ECHOZONE. Again the band around singer Guido Vortex combine elements of gothic rock, psychedelic, new wave and synthpop with modern dance trax elements to form a unique melange which contrasts strongly with the genre's commercially designed mass products. The thirteen tracks are pointedly electronic. However, the guitar gets its leeway, too, which grants the songs a certain individuality, especially within the elaborated solo passages. "No Way Out" will be released on April 13th in form of a CD album and digital download.

After their last album "Zeitmaschine" on which LEICHENWETTER presented the classics of their first two albums with a new livery, they have now released their first live DVD / CD called "Zeitreise". The limited DVD + CD contains 18 live video clips, a history slideshow commented by singer Numen and guitarist Dawe as well as an exclusive interview with Numen and bassist Lord Hur shot at the GOTHIKA fair. In addition, the live album "Zeitreise" will be available for digital download on April, 6th.

The much-anticipated second album of the gothic rock band KALT will be released on April, 20th, on ECHOZONE. After last year's special edition of the debut album "Dein Gott" (incl. "Blood EP") and the release of the download EP "Die Ruhe vor dem Sturm" earlier this year, "Der Sturm" provides gothic rock at its heaviest and most intense which is now rendered solely in German. For two songs DIE LAUGHING singer Rachel supports them whose voice adds an additional intensive facet to the songs. Of course, the KALT typical, atmospheric dense instrumentals are not missing, either, completing the album in every respect in the form of an intro, outro and the epic 10-minute song "Im Auge des Sturms". Singer and frontman Mike York taps into years of experiences, i. a. as a guitarist of the German goth legend "Garden of Delight", and with "Der Sturm" he sets an impressive example for the individuality of German gothic rock.  

After two self-published EPs, MIRRORED IN SECRECY are going to release their debut album "Day Of Renewal“ on ECHOZONE. Low tuned drop riffing meets singing lead guitars. Thunderous drums take turns with ambient acoustic parts. MIRRORED IN SECRECY know how to balance between dark rock and gothic metal, from old-school to up-to-date, without slipping. As a teaser the digital download "Mortality EP" will come out on April, 13th, including the album tracks "Mortality" and "Never Enough" as well as an acoustic version of "Journey Ends" and the exclusive live track "Truth".

After their comeback album "Close To Nature" from 2010, BIONIC present their third album "Meadowland". Breaking fresh ground the project around mastermind Dariusch Dalili doesn't repudiate its own identity and origin. The twelve album songs combine the usually complex arrangements with bassy beats, catchy vocals, purposefully used guitars as well as dub and break beats. "Meadowland"'s intense compositional density is persuasive and its electric industrial electro sound is second to none in its compact and experimental way.

For many years and after numerous album and EP releases CONSCIENCE is firmly established in the electronic independent pop department. After the pre-release of the download EP "To Stay Invisible", the new album "Your Frequency" will be out in April. Again, singer, composer and producer Rüdiger Illg knows how to combine catchy melodies with a crystal clear electro pop production resulting in a varied album which is going to cast a spell over every electro pop fan.

"Your Frequency" will be available as a limited slim-digipak including four bonus tracks and for digital download worldwide as of April, 6th.

Having been active since 2004, PROJEKT ICH is going to release long-lost material of recent years on ECHOZONE in digital form only. The three EPs "Strahlende Zukunft“, "Reaktiv“ and "Ganz ohne Licht“ which contain seven songs each, give an insight into deserted and rotten worlds of bygone times with a view to one or two future silver linings. Ulf Müller has been dedicated to experimental sounds without bowing to musical limitations, and his solo project is always looking for the 13th note. An absolute must for everyone who mainly loves and appreciates instrumental, profound and seething soundscapes. 

HERZPARASIT and TRAUMTAENZER will support UMBRA ET IMAGO on their upcoming tour. The tour will take place from end of March to the beginning of April (dates see below). HERZPARASIT are going to play all shows, TRAUMTAENZER in Leipzig, Affalter, Berlin and Ludwigsburg.

At the second weekend in March, the Dark Spring Festival takes place already for the third time at the legendary Berlin club SO36. As in recent years, they stick to the independent idea to invite only bands that prove themselves through their music and their stage presence far away from mainstream and dubious fads.

The successful mix of 80s wave, post punk, goth rock and death rock was already presented by bands like Merciful Nuns, Escape with Romeo, Nosferatu, Whispers in the Shadow, Pretentious Moi?, Midas Fall and Vendemmian.

This year, we are looking forward to the following bands:

JOVIAN SPIN will release their debut album "Shapes of Perception" on April 13th on ECHOZONE. The album contains 12 hypnotic industrial rock tracks which combine groovy and hard, vast arrangements of rock with the cold and clear straightness of electro and industrial. Impulsive electric sounds coupled with massive guitar riffs and a foundation of drum & bass - that is JOVIAN SPIN.

Yelling a big “we don´t care” towards old fashioned genre behavior: those are the German newcomers JOVIAN SPIN on their way to break up incrusted boundaries in modern music.

The German based indie dark rock band MUNDTOT will release their debut album "Spätsommer" on April 20th on ECHOZONE. After their first EP "Endzeit" from 2010, the band has produced a full length album containing 11 songs which define a crossover between independent / alternative styles, guitar and electronic sounds, dark and gothic elements and intelligent German lyrics. MUNDTOT's sound is raw, unpolished and stays true to their approach to creating something unique but emotionally familiar for the audience.

The second album of the Belgian cold wave band DER KLINKE will be released on April 27th on CD and as a limited 500 piece VINYL record. The new album contains 10 songs full of powerful dark energy and intense atmospheric tunes. One year after their highly acclaimed debut "Square Moon", the new album redefines their unique style of carrying classic electronic cold wave into the current century.

On April 13th, the third and brand new BIONIC album "Meadowland" will hit the shops. As a prequel to the new album, the "Contamination" EP will be available for download starting February 24th. The EP contains the title track plus three non-album instrumental / playback versions.

The 12 track album marks a new territory for the project, adding heavy breakbeat sounds, guitars, pumping basslines, catchy lyrics and melodies to a dark, dense and intoxicating sound.

We are proud to announce that the London based greek Industrial-Rock/Metal band HANNIBAL signed to ECHOZONE and will release their long awaited second album "CYBERIA" in spring 2012. The band will go on a tour starting from January 29th, 2012 to March 2nd and will support Tarja Turunen (ex-Nightwish).

The brand new album, to be released in March 2012, will be sold as a special exclusive pre-release on that tour for the fans and it will also be available directly from the band's website.

Winter is coming up with a bunch of EPs to be released between 9th and 23th december. !distain, Traumtaenzer and Lost Area will be starting off tomorrow with their EPs. All are available via Download and Traumtaenzer and Lost Area EPs will also be available as strictly limited digi-EPs.

Following on december 23th the brand new project by Descendants Of Cain Mastermind DM Kruger "The Pressure Cell" will hit the digital shops with the 4-track EP "Through These Lights".

Rick Prokein is officially announced as a !distain band member. Rick, who is no stranger to the fans, has appeared as keyboardist and percussionist in !distain's live line-up since 2005. In 2010, he contributed the vocals to "Hole In The Moon" and also appears as the lead voice of the upcoming !distain single "monokultur" which will be released via echozone as a download-single on all major download-portals on December 9th, 2011. The video to the song was filmed during the !distain concert in Cologne in October and will premiere on November 25th, 2011, on youtube.
