20 years of CONSCIENCE

In relation to the 20th anniversary of the project there are plenty of news:

New release: "Obsession EP", available in your favourite download-shop. The titeltrack is for free (available through www.conscience-music.de) and can also be heard at Reverbnation or at Facebook.
This digital EP is the forerunner of the forthcoming album "Your frequency". The EP also contains two remixes and two exclusive tracks.

On www.science2.de there are lots of downloads for free from CONSCIENCE and side-projects.

Further more all old albums will be released as digital download as well. All of them were remastered and completed with bonus tracks. Already out: „Tales“, „Evolution“ , „Invisible alienation“, “Mind-mirror” and “Virtuality”.

Obsession EP

And again something no one has reckoned with.

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of CONSCIENCE the EP “Obsession” shows how to combine EBM, wave and electro and how to overtake recent productions.

In addition to the single-version there is again an extended version, a remix by CS (rotorik, The phantom skies) and two non-album tracks.

“Dead chance” for example describes the scenario of a horror short story.

The release was mastered dynamically and further more the title-track is available for free (check out facebook, ReverbNation or science2.de).
“Obsession” is taken from the forthcoming album “Your frequency”.

Gravity Has Gone

After the free pre-single "Theatre Of Deception" with hundreds of downloads CONSCIENCE is going to release their brand-new album "Gravity Has Gone". CONSCIENCE needed nearly three years to work on the new album and again there was an endless coming and going of guest singers. Since the last EP "Blurred Fish" was already buffed up by TWICE A MAN singer Dan Söderqvist, this time Colin Angus from THE SHAMEN, Mel from FUTURE TRAIL as well as Katharina Burges and Stian Shiver from PORTASH are involved.

The new album impresses with a crystal clear sound and mind-blowing melodies which CONSCIENCE is known for and which go straight into your head and touch your heart. The guitars have boosted their way into the sound cosmos of CONSCIENCE and fit right into the synthetic overall picture.

In 1991, Rüdiger Illg set sail for the first time with his project CONSCIENCE. On countless releases he cast the nets again and again retrieving guitar and rootsy electric bass sounds besides the synthesisers to finally fish out the 'perfect pop song' which a lot of seafarers are looking for in vain.
