Nach ihren Alben „Welt aus Papier“ und „Elektro Computer Maschinen Musik“ war es lange still um Ellipse. Um so lauter kehren sie mit dem Album „Verlorene Zeit“ zurück.
Wie der Name schon vermuten lässt handelt das Album davon, wie wir unsere Zeit verschwenden. Ob unter Überlebensdruck, Angst oder falschem Stolz: Einen Grund finden wir immer etwas zu wollen und das Gegenteil zu machen.
Dies wird in 11 Songs von harten Industrialbeats, groovenden EBM Basslines, drückenden Gitarren sowie von eindrucksvollen Synth- und Orchestralmelodien untermalt, die im Kopf bleiben und zum tanzen bewegen. Eine interessante Mischung aus Gitarren- und elektronischer Musik sorgt dafür, dass man das Album nicht als das „Ein oder Andere“ eindeutig definieren kann. Erstmals stellt Massimo mit dem Song „Fakeland“ den Sänger (Pete) seines weiteren Projektes „Painlevel“ vor, wovon 2012 das erste Album zu erwarten ist.
Gesanglich wird Massimo in Songs wie „Herzwalzer“ oder „Verlorene Zeit“ erstmalig von einer weiblichen Stimme (Serathina) unterstützt, welche auch einen Song (Bleib bei mir) alleine singt. Das Album wurde in den Potipro Studios aufgenommen, gemischt und gemastert und über einen Zeitraum von 2 Jahren produziert.
Man sollte sich in jedem Fall die Zeit nehmen dieses Album zu hören und ein wenig darüber nachzudenken, denn dies könnte in Zukunft in manchen Situationen viel Zeit sparen. Remixe des Albums findet man auf dem Körperschall Remixsampler Vol. 2.

The definition for Ellipse actually is  the omission of a word or phrase necessary for a complete syntactical construction but not necessary for understanding but Ellipse is also a band that has been around since 2004. Their first album "Welt aus Papier" was released on a different label in 2006 and songs like "Sexmaschine" and "Mutter" were played in clubs and discos all over the world. This is the reason why you can find Ellipse's loyal fans everywhere in the world.

When they found the right live line-up in 2005 Ellipse began to play shows. On their albums Ellipse sounds more electronic but you can hear a differece when they play live. They have a real drumkit, guitars and e-drums so they sound a bit more like guitar pop.

With their second album "Elektro Computer Maschinen Musik" Ellipse wants to flood your brains with their lyrics and make all the people in the clubs dance to their beats. Whereas their first album was a blend of dark wave, industrial metal and gothic Ellipse's new album "ECMM" sounds sounds more electronic.

Ellipse write songs about the society we live in, politics, relationships, religion, giving up and violence. In one sentence: "What is this f***ing life all about?"
