Laissez Faire is inspired by 80’s and early 90’s rock music.
Their work is described as a fusion of several music genres such as alternative, dark, post and gothic rock.
Their debut album “No Land for Escape” has received much positive feedback from music magazines and internet sites.
Moreover their single “Electrify” and “Make me Glow” have been included in various CD compilations.
Laissez Faire is a Greek alternative rock band from Thessaloniki formed in 2003. The initial members were Nikos Ch. (guitar), Panos L. (drums) and Giannis S. (guitar). During that year the band worked with several musicians. By 2005 Kostas L. (bass), Eleni K. (vocals) and Alex M. (vocals) had joined the band. Since then they have been performing live in festivals throughout Greece as well as in music stages, especially in Thessaloniki.
During 2008-2009, Laissez Faire recorded their debut album entitled “No Land for Escape” in cooperation with Dark Souls Day productions. That’s when some of the band members had to service the Greek army (Greece has mandatory military service) and the official album release had to be delayed until 2011.
The band is currently working on their new album. They have been experimenting with some new sounds and their second album is expected to have a deep mystical style.
