With „Zeitmaschine“Leichenwetter are releasing an album, containing the best and most popular songs of their first two records “Klage” and “LetzteWorte”, as well as one track from “Urworte” and a brandnew track called “Die Zeitgehtnicht”.
All songs have been completely reworked and new recorded, to compete with the high standards, set by their last record “Legende”.
Continuing their concept, all the lyrics were taken from classic German poets, such as Heine, Hesse, Trakl, and Schiller.
The powerful guitar-sound once more captivates by a dash of staginess and adds his part to the unrivaled and unique attitude between Gothic, Rock & Metal.
Leichenwetter are also breaking new ground by adding some additional female vocals, performed by Nina, who already supported the band live several times.
Additionally to the new record their will be a limited edition of first DVD “Zeitreise” available, containing an impressive live-show from 2010 in Hagen, Germany.
Leichenwetter will also be on tour this year, to present their record and DVD.
With "Legende" Leichenwetter present their fourth album by now. Even after more than 10 years of band history the unusual concept still defines the sounds and lyrics of the 12 album tracks.
Leichenwetter use classic literature in German and shape a truly unique oeuvre out of it by means of hammering, driving and sometimes dark rock music.
On "Legende" texts by Ernst Stadler, Clemens Brentano, Georg Trakl, Johann Gottfried von Herder, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Conrad Ferdinand Meyer, Ernst Moritz Arndt and Heinrich Heine are to be found being interpreted in a variety of ways and resulting into an album full of epic-hymnic rock songs.
This concept actually allows to integrate critical and current topics as is impressively proven by the track "Beschwörung" (Heinrich Heine) that deals with child abuse inside of the Church.
The only exception is a thrilling cover version of Falco's "Out Of The Dark" which is, yet, in total harmony with the whole sound characteristics of the album.
Regarding composition and production "Legende" knows how to impress by its complex arrangements and a varying orchestration. The continuous use of driving and heavy guitars gets specifically and appropriately enriched by keyboards, strings and acoustic guitars to keep the tension high throughout the whole album to the very end.
"Legende" will be released on October, 15th. In the next few months, the band is going to play a couple of gigs. Check it out! It is worth your while.
