Motormouth EP Release

Mob Research collaborate with The Young Gods on new release Mob Research - the band formed by the late Paul Raven of Killing Joke/Ministry, Mission guitarist Mark Gemini Thwaite and Warrior Soul/Trouble vocalist Kory Clarke - are releasing their first new material in three years since the 'Holy City Zoo' album was released to critical acclaim in 2009.

'MOTORMOUTH’ EP is released on limited edition gatefold digipak CD on Echozone on 18th May. The new CD features several new songs by Clarke/Thwaite including 'Motormouth', 'Another Dead Day in Paradise' and an exclusive new version of 'In The Atmosphere' featuring Franz Treichler of Swiss industrial pioneer THE YOUNG GODS on vocals.

The 9 track CD is also packed with exclusive bonus remixes by AESTHETIC PERFECTION, [DE:AD:CIBEL], IMPERATIVE REACTION, HANNIBAL and INERTIA (featuring Reza of KILLING JOKE). Mob Research is the bastard offspring of Paul Raven and Mark Thwaite. Both born and bred in the Midlands UK, the pair first jammed together back in 1989 then went their separate ways, crossing paths occasionally over the years before reuniting in Los Angeles in spring 2007 to collaborate on Mob Research.

Sadly Raven passed away in his sleep in late 2007 at age 46 from a suspected heart attack, leaving Thwaite and vocalist Kory Clarke to complete vocals and overdubs on 10 songs. The 'Holy City Zoo' album - co-produced by Tim Palmer (Ozzy/H.I.M/Pearl Jam) was subsequently released in 2009 after Raven’s passing to glowing reviews in the metal and alternative press.

Holy City Zoo

The history of MOB RESEARCH is closely connected to the tragic death of their bassist Paul Raven (Killing Joke, Prong, Ministry) who formed the band with Mark Gemini Thwaite (The Mission, Peter Murphy) in 2007.

Warrior Soul frontman Kory Clarke and ex-Queens Of The Stone Age drummer Nick Lucero completed the line-up. Shortly after finishing the recordings for their debut album HOLY CITY ZOO Paul Raven died, so the finishing of the album was delayed until 2009.

The album was mixed by Tim Palmer and others. Palmer has also been in charge for the last HIM albums. The result is dirty industrial-rock that shows you what can be expected from these guys in the future.

Some might say that the songs on the album sound like a mixture between Ministry and Killing Joke but with Kory Clarke's snotty voice and Mark G. Thwaite's sophisticated guitars they do sound different. The remixes( SinDaddy, etc) reflect Mob Researchs own style, they are quite amazing and a great addition to the regular versions.
