After the break up of his band THE MISSION last year, front man Wayne Hussey was finally free to record his first solo album entitled "Bare" which he already presented during a tour some months ago. Now, the album will be released in October via ECHOZONE / NEO-SonyMusic including four bonus live tracks having been recorded during a sold out show in Bochum / Germany. Especially those four tracks were recorded uncut and - with Wayne's comments - provide evidence of the special atmosphere at his solo concerts. Besides THE MISSION classics like "Shelter From The Storm", "Garden Of Delight" or "Black Mountain Mist" the album features cover versions of "A Night Like This" (The Cure), "With Or Without You" (U2) and "Ashes To Ashes" (Bowie) which Wayne Hussey performs very emphatically and with all due respect to the respective original.“Bare“ really reflects Wayne Hussey’s personal taste. The tracks were recorded with a lot of passion as he has always loved playing the songs on an acoustic set during a MISSION show or he just wanted to give them a personal touch. |
