Zeritas was founded by composer René in 2003. Frontman Micha who had been the singer of a rock band before, felt immediately attracted by the romantic-melancholic sound. As chance would have it, the band was looking for a dedicated vocalist and songwriter at that time.
In 2005, Zeritas came third place at the "Battle of the Bands" competition hosted by Sonic Seducer. The young audio engineer Gerrit Haasler took notice of the band project, realised their potential and offered them a studio session to record a promo CD. Eventually, this well-balanced cooperation led to Zeritas becoming a trio.
The debut album is named "Metamorphose" and is thematically taken from real life. Since life makes stories, and Zeritas know how to forward those emotionally and melodiously packed messages directly into one's heart, much like once the Trojan Horse.
Zeritas display a harmonic interaction between gothic, electronic, romantic and dark wave with a hint of Element Of Crime or Veljanov. However, a very distinctive musical style and especially Micha's empathetic German lyrics provide Zeritas with the essential recognition factor.
The album was audio mastered by Thomas Heimann-Trosi who has already worked for bands like Blutengel, Letzte Instanz, Qntal, Subway To Sally and Terminal Choice.
